Have you been wondering how your Encore Fashion purchases are benefiting charities? While we recognize that so many charities merit donations, here are the organizations that Encore volunteers selected to receive donations between 2020-2022.
Cornerstone Housing for Women
Cornerstone provides a continuum of housing and support for women and gender-diverse people that is inclusive and reduces barriers. They give hope and help to women get back on their feet by providing a safe place to live.
Centretown Emergency Food Centre
Located in the heart of Ottawa on Bank Street a location that is accessible when emergency needs arise.
The Mission Food Security Program
Accessing food support can be stigmatizing and the Mission strives to make their program as accessible as possible.
The Community Laundry Co-Op of Ottawa (CLC)
CLC provides low-cost self-service laundry for people in the community who otherwise might not be able to afford clean clothes.
Haven Too Youth Shelter
Located on the premises of the Fourth Avenue Baptist Church they provide overnight, safe, supervised shelter for homeless youth.
Mama Imara
Supports a maternity clinic in Uganda, providing safe, dignified care for women and their babies. The clinic is located near the slum area in Kampala.
Soul Space
Attending to the spirits of street health workers. Working with street people can be challenging Soul Space is a safe environment to recharge.
Food for Thought
A local non-profit organization, providing warm and nutritious meals to thousands of vulnerable households in the Ottawa area.
Marco Depestre Foundation Haiti
Supports initiatives including Disaster Relief in areas of Poverty, Education, Health, Portable Water and more.
Big Sky Ranch Animal Shelter
This animal shelter is the only non-kill Sanctuary of its kind in Eastern Ontario.
